On our last evening in Maastricht we visited JEF Gastrobar. JEF Gastrobar is a beautiful restaurant in the Rechtstraat with a modern and luxurious interior. They serve amazing food and incredible wines and the atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed and cozy.
Sans Pardon is a beer without excuses. This beer is a Russian Imperial Stout from brewery de Dochter van de Korenaar. It is a beer with quite a high alcoholpercentage of 11% and it has a pitch black colour.
Hidden in the Rechtstraat in Maastricht you will find speakeasy cocktailbar Mr. Smith with a very cozy and luxurious atmosphere
The Blackberry Sour is a beautiful limited edition beer from brewery Jopen. This beer has matured for 548 days in different Bourbon barrels and it has a wonderful purple glow.
Townhouse is a beautiful and cozy hotel in the neighbourhood Wyck and it is within a short walking distance of the citycentre.
De Royale Martinus is another beer from brewery Stadsbrouwerij de Maastrichter Maltezer and its name refers to the St.Martinus church in Maastricht. St.Martin was the patron saint of the poor and soldiers.
On our second day in Maastricht we decided to go to beer cafe ‘De Gouverneur’. This cafe serves over 300 (!) different kinds of beers and it is the first Belgium eat- and specialty beer cafe in Maastricht.
Meesterstuk 2017 is, as the name implies, a masterpiece (meesterstuk). The beer is brewed at brewery Jopen in Haarlem. This beer has matured in Bowmore barrels for 365 days and therefore it has a strong special flavour of Scotch whisky.
