In the El Born district of Barcelona lays Alsur Café El Born. This café is a mix of a bar, lounge and a terrace. So no matter what your intentions are, they always have a seat for you! That is why their slogan is: “Whatever you want, Whenever.”
We found this place online after their pictures grabbed our attention. Since we were in the neighbourhood, we decided to give it a try and we went out for lunch. We sat down in a cosy corner where we had a good overview of the place, well.. one of the places. The café is huge! But what surprised us the most was the menu because they have an unique selection of dishes and snacks. ❤
We saw for example a waffle with grilled-cheese and one with chicken. We hadn’t heard of this combination before and therefore we decided to give it a try.
The dishes had a very unique and delicious flavour which we still can’t understand. We absolutely loved it!
Since we love beers, we had no choice but to order a local craft beer.
We choose the La Niña Barbuda (brown ale). The beer tasted amazing as well and we were happily surprised by it.
Alsur Café El Born is an outstanding place with a lot of options on their menu. If you are in El Born, you should definitely swing by this Café. Even if it is only for a drink. It is definitely worth it!
