We booked the Deluxe Room and when we arrived at the hotel, I (Demi) was surprised by Nick with a super romantic room with heart balloons, a bottle of prosecco and other decorations. This was already an amazing start of our citytrip to Den Bosch.

]]>While visiting Maastricht, we stayed in the Townhouse Designhotel for 3 nights. Townhouse is a beautiful and cozy hotel in the neighbourhood Wyck and it is within a short walking distance of the citycentre.
Authentic hospitality and ‘Limburgse gezelligheid’ are the key words of this hotel, but then in a modern way.
When we arrived at this hotel we directly felt at home. At check-in we received a cup of homemade soup and the staff were very kind and happy to tell you everything that you need to know about Maastricht.
The hotel is furnished in a modern/vintage style to make it feel like a cosy home. An perfect example is the lounge. The lounge has comfortable seatings, a fireplace and books and games within reach.
We booked the extra large room for the ultimate comfort and we must say that the room was incredibly gorgeous!
Especially the bathtub was so nice that we used it almost every day! Furthermore, the room included a huge king-size bed which slept absolutely wonderful. We also loved the the wall in our room which was covered with cute notes about the hotel and Maastricht.
Moreover, we booked our stay with breakfast included as well. Due to the pandemic, the hotel had a form where you could choose from 3 different breakfast menu’s instead of a buffet. If you want anything extra besides the menu you could just check a box and they will bring it together with the menu. This system worked very well and gave us a very safe and pleasant feeling.
Although we have not made any plans yet to revisit Maastricht, we would definitly book Townhouse again. Everything was amazing, clean and well organized.
From check-in to check-out, we had an outstanding experience!
We would like to know what hotel gave you the best experience? We might visit it in the future

]]>The post Boutique Hotel Corona – Best hotel in The Hague? appeared first on Nick's Honest.
]]>A week ago, we visited Boutique hotel Corona for a short city trip to the Hague (Den Haag). The hotel is the oldest 4-star hotel in the Hague and it is situated in the city centre close to most of the important sights.
When we arrived at the hotel, we were directly greeted by the receptionists. All of staff, especially Martine and Stan, were very professional, friendly and polite.
This gave us a very good first impression of the hotel. After a smooth check-in, we were guided to our room on the first floor.
We got a beautiful, renovated superior room with everything we needed for an amazing stay. Also, our bags were already brought to our room since we couldn’t check-in directly. We absolutely loved this extra piece of service.
Our room had a personal welcome card from the team, chocolates and a special Corona Hotel ducky we called Cory (Corona and Ducky). All these amenities made us directly feel at home.
The room was spacious and very well cleaned. We slept absolutely wonderful in the bed and the rain shower was lovely as well. Due to COVID-19, there was no breakfast buffet but everything that we needed was served directly to our table. The ‘Buffet-at-your-table’ was very nice. We had an amazing stay at this hotel and from check-in to check-out we received excellent service.
Therefore, we certainly recommend this hotel to anyone who is going to or is planning to visit the Hague. You will definitely receive an outstanding experience at this hotel!
We would like to give special thanks to Lisa for making everything possible!

]]>Recently, we have posted a lot about all the restaurants we visited during our trip to Bruges earlier this year.
A few of you asked us where we stayed at during our visit. Therefore, we decided to dedicate a full review about the accommodation in Bruges.
We booked a Superior room at the hotel Martin’s Brugge for two nights. The hotel is located in the city centre and this allowed us to walk to every sight within a very short amount of time and distance.
The hotel consists of multiple connected buildings which makes it one large maze hallwaysystem.
Close to the end of the maze was our room. The room was absolutely beautiful with modern aesthetics. We slept very well on the soft bed and the next day we were ready to see what the breakfast buffet had to offer.
We were happily surprised by the large assortment of breads, cheeses, juices and the warm and cold food options. There was plenty to choose from if you ask us.
To summarize our stay, we loved our stay and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the room and breakfast. The staff is very friendly and they are happy to accommodate you with any information that you need about the city or the hotel. If you need a place to stay in Bruges, we absolutely recommend you to book your room at Martin’s Brugge for a wonderful stay.

]]> We were invited to attend a special diner at The Vault in the basement of the @hotelindigothehague . The diner was themed around the whiskey Morthlach (@worldklaas ).
Via Nick from @thehaguecocktailweek we got in touch with the organizer of the event, Stephan.
The diner consisted of 3 courses with a cocktail based on Mortlach. Instead of wine pairing it was cocktail pairing. Every course we had a beautiful matching cocktail.
The diner started of with a poached tomato filled with mozzarella cream and a Mortlach Manhattan created with Mortlach 12, vermouth and orange bitters.
After another speach from Michael we got our main course. A very tasty entrecote with port sause and spinach cream together with a whiskey sour cocktail. Both were amazing! As a desert we had a grand dessert consisting of raspberry, pannacota, strawberry and sour with a glass of Mortlach 20. It was an incredible night, learned a lot and met many new people. The food and drinks were fantastic and unique. The vault and Gold Bar are definitely a place you should visit! Great ambiance, lovely staff and good drinks at the bar.
