The Mooie Nel IPA from brewery Jopen is definitely something special.
This beer has an alcoholpercentage of 6,5% and it is quite a fruity beer. The beer is named after the water between Haarlem and Spaarndam. Outside the Netherlands this beer is called North Sea IPA.

The beer itself has a bold bitter bite but since we really love heavy bitter beers, this was no problem at all. The beer also smelled really good. You directly smell the citrus- and tropical fruits when you take a sip. This makes it a perfect beer to drink in the summer!
We always love the beers from this brewery but this one is definitely in our top 3. Absolutely recommended! Therefore, we rate this beer with a 4,5/5

An unique combination of juniperberries, rye malt, saison yeast and an aging on red wine barrels? Then we are talking about the Jopen Many-Faced GOT from brewery Jopen.

The name Many-Faced Got refers to the Many-Faced God from the television series Game of Thrones. The blocks on the label of this beer contains references to this series, such as the Drowned God, Old Gods and the
Stranger Seven.

This beer has a very complex and spicy character and the aging on red wine barrels gives an extra dimension to this beer. Moreover, the tones of wood from the barrels gives it an extra powerful taste experience. The beer also has quite a high alcoholpercentage of 10,5%.

We absolutely loved this beer! It has a strong and smooth body and we enjoyed the taste of red wine in this beer. This beer is definitely one of the best beers we drank before!
Therefore we rate this beer a 5/5.

This week we drank a very special beer from brewery Breugem which owes it’s name to a specific region in the Netherlands : “de Zaan”.
The Saense Tripel is full of aromas of herbs from the yeast and it has a fresh citrus-like character from a mixture of American and German hops.
It is an intense and complex Dutch tripel and it is a very easy beer to drink. This beer won the third prize of the tastiest Tripel at the Beer festival in Groningen in 2016.

Ingredients of the beer:
– Malt: Pils and CaraPils Hops: Hallertau Tradition, Lublin, Centennial and Citra.
– Other ingredients: Barley flakes and candy sugar
– Bitterness: 32 EBU, which means that it is a bitter beer.
– Alcohol percentage: 8.3%

We were pleasantly surprised by the taste of the beer. It tasted exceptionally good! This is definitely one of the best beers that we drank from this brewery! Therefore we would absolutely recommend this beer

  • Ripple wheat beer review

Ripple is a wheat beer from the Exlastudios. The beer is perfect for warm and sunny weather due to the low alcohol percentage (4,5%) and the fresh and fruity flavours.
The creators behind this beer gave us the opportunity to review this special beer.
The design is eye-catching and it is showing a “cool dude”. On recommendation of the Exlastudios crew, we shook the bottle a bit so the ingredients would be mixed and the beer would be more foamy.
Personally, a wheat beer wouldn’t be my first choice, since I prefer darker beers. But because this beer was chill and smooth, we give it a 7 for the flavour.
The design is thoughtfull and unique and fits the beer. We give the design a 7.
Would I recommend this beer? Yes, I would. It is a beer to drink with friends on the beach or at a terrace. It’s a pleasant change from your normal pilsner.
If you’re interested in this beer you can go to @exlastudios and get yourself or your friends a few Ripple beers.
