]]>Sans Pardon is a beer without excuses. This beer is a Russian Imperial Stout from brewery de Dochter van de Korenaar. It is a beer with quite a high alcoholpercentage of 11% and it has a pitch black colour.
The beer has a fruity taste since a hint of rooibos has been added in the brewing process. Furthermore, the beer has flavours such as caramel and chocolate and it has a beautiful foamy head.
We absolutely loved this stout since it had a very powerful flavour. Moreover, we loved the strong smell of coffee and chocolate of this beer. Therefore we rate this beer a 3,8/5.

]]>Pareltje aan de Vliet is another gem of brewery Cavé with an alcoholpercentage of 5,3%. This beer is named after the nickname of the village Voorschoten which is ‘Parel aan de Vliet’.
The village got this name because it is a village with a long history, many monumental buildings, beautiful country estates and a annual horsemarket.
Pareltje aan de Vliet is an American Pale Ale (APA) with notes of citrus. It also has a fresh aftertaste which makes it a beautiful beer to drink in the summer.
We actually drank this beer in the pool in our garden on a beautiful sunny day and we absolutely loved it! It is quite a bitter beer, but the fruity smell and taste makes it an easy beer to drink. Especially on a warm day. Therefore we rate this beer a 4/5.

]]>Imagine an English garden full of lush borders of colourful flowers. The soothing fragrant of daisies and sage. Actually the perfect time for an English Wheat Wine right?
Wheat Weet Mag Het Zeggen from the dutch brewery Jopen is an English Wheat Wine brewed with wheat, sage and daisies. It is quite a powerful beer with a rich flavour due to the use of wheat malt. Also, the beer is slightly bitter with a floral aroma and a minty aftertaste.
The beer has an alcoholpercentage of 11% and it is therefore quite a strong beer. This limited edition beer spent two months in Monbazillac, sweet white wine, barrels. This has added notes of grape to the taste pallet.
We enjoyed this beer but unfortunately it almost had no foam. This was a bit of a pity to us. Also the taste of white wine was, to our opinion, to much represented in the beer. Therefore we rate this beer a 3,5/5.

]]>A powerful tripel with a fresh taste and a citrusy character. These are the characteristics from the beer: ‘Paapje Tripel’ from brewery Cavé.
Brewery Cavé is a local brewery from Voorschoten and they brew beautiful craft beers. The Paapje Tripel is named after ‘de Papenlaan’ and ‘de Papewegse Polder’ which are located in Voorschoten. This beer is easy to drink due to its smooth taste and it has a slightly bitter aftertaste. You definitely taste the flavour of hop in this beer and because it has has citrusy character, it also tasted quite spicy.
We absolutely loved it! Therefore we rate this beer a 4/5.

]]>The post Alsur Café El Born – Review appeared first on Nick's Honest.
]]>In the El Born district of Barcelona lays Alsur Café El Born. This café is a mix of a bar, lounge and a terrace. So no matter what your intentions are, they always have a seat for you! That is why their slogan is: “Whatever you want, Whenever.”
We found this place online after their pictures grabbed our attention. Since we were in the neighbourhood, we decided to give it a try and we went out for lunch. We sat down in a cosy corner where we had a good overview of the place, well.. one of the places. The café is huge! But what surprised us the most was the menu because they have an unique selection of dishes and snacks.
We saw for example a waffle with grilled-cheese and one with chicken. We hadn’t heard of this combination before and therefore we decided to give it a try.
The dishes had a very unique and delicious flavour which we still can’t understand. We absolutely loved it!
Since we love beers, we had no choice but to order a local craft beer.
We choose the La Niña Barbuda (brown ale). The beer tasted amazing as well and we were happily surprised by it.
Alsur Café El Born is an outstanding place with a lot of options on their menu. If you are in El Born, you should definitely swing by this Café. Even if it is only for a drink. It is definitely worth it!
