]]>
Two weeks ago, we reviewed the Ben Nevis BA called ‘Winterslaapje’. This time we wrote a beer review about the other new beer from Brouwerij Voorschoten, the Quadrupel.
The Voorschotens Quadrupel is a strong beer that drinks away pretty easily. It is originally brewed for the colder days, but can actually be enjoyed year round. The Quadrupel is a aromatic beer with a ruby red to black colour. Furthermore, it has a warming body with a touch of dried fruit.
Since darker beers are right up our ally, this was bound to be a succes.
And it sure was! The smell and flavours of this beer are very strong which is most definitly something we like. Therefore, this beer is certainly one we would drink again.
Therefore, we rate this beer a 4/5.

]]>The post Pareltje aan de Vliet – Brouwerij Cavé appeared first on Nick's Honest.
]]>Pareltje aan de Vliet is another gem of brewery Cavé with an alcoholpercentage of 5,3%. This beer is named after the nickname of the village Voorschoten which is ‘Parel aan de Vliet’.
The village got this name because it is a village with a long history, many monumental buildings, beautiful country estates and a annual horsemarket.
Pareltje aan de Vliet is an American Pale Ale (APA) with notes of citrus. It also has a fresh aftertaste which makes it a beautiful beer to drink in the summer.
We actually drank this beer in the pool in our garden on a beautiful sunny day and we absolutely loved it! It is quite a bitter beer, but the fruity smell and taste makes it an easy beer to drink. Especially on a warm day. Therefore we rate this beer a 4/5.

]]>Another masterpiece of brewery Cavé, which is a local brewery in Voorschoten, is ‘Onder de Linde’. This beer is named after the oldest part of Voorschoten, the Voorstraat, where the market and the horsemarket have been held under the Linde trees for hundreds of years.
‘Onder de Linde’ is a smooth blond beer with a fresh, citrusy and slightly spicy character. This beer has an alcoholpercentage of 5,5% and is quite an easy beer to drink.
When we started to drink this beer, we were first taken by surprise by its spicy taste. But after we took a couple more sips, we actually started to like this beer. It is absolutely a good blond beer to drink, but you just have to get used to its spicy character first. If you like a spicy, fresh and citrusy beer then you should get this beer and give it a try! It might suprise you.
It may not have our preference tastewise but it is definitely a good beer. Therefore we rate this beer a 3,5/5.
– Did you ever drank a beer of brewery Cavé?

]]>A powerful tripel with a fresh taste and a citrusy character. These are the characteristics from the beer: ‘Paapje Tripel’ from brewery Cavé.
Brewery Cavé is a local brewery from Voorschoten and they brew beautiful craft beers. The Paapje Tripel is named after ‘de Papenlaan’ and ‘de Papewegse Polder’ which are located in Voorschoten. This beer is easy to drink due to its smooth taste and it has a slightly bitter aftertaste. You definitely taste the flavour of hop in this beer and because it has has citrusy character, it also tasted quite spicy.
We absolutely loved it! Therefore we rate this beer a 4/5.

]]>Our previous beer review was about the Pale Ale from a local brewery named Brouwerij Voorschoten. Not only did they provide us the Pale Ale, they provided us with two more beers. One of them is was the Triple which is the subject for our review for today. The Triple (8,4%) was the first beer of the brewery. It has a sweet, fresh and bitter flavour and a beautiful amber colour.
The rich flavour of the beer is delicious and it is a treat to drink this beer. We will definitely drink this beer again!
Therefore we give the flavour a 8/10.
The label of the bottle is an old design and they have already redesigned the bottle. The design was simple but clear. Therefore we give the design a 6/10.
We love the brewery and we are continuing to support them and try out their new beers!
Don’t forget to follow them at @brouwerijvoorschoten

]]> Last weekend we had the opportunity to drink a beer from a small, local brewery (Brouwerij Voorschoten) near our hometown Leiden.
We came across this brewery during a daily scroll through our Instagram feed. When we saw this beer, we were directly attracted by message of the beer and the passion of the brewer. Once again, we found a unique combination of flavours.
The Voorschootse Pale Ale (5,5%) is an American Pale Ale. The beer is ideal for the summer with its amber colour, malty body and subtle bitterness with a pleasant fresh citrus taste. The flavour surprised us positively, which left us to base our score on the match of the suprise effect with its flavours. We where long in doubt about the score, but we decided to give it a 7.5. The score is based on the fact that we would recommend this beer and that we definitely liked the taste of it.
The score for the design is based upon the changes from the old beer design and it’s ability to distinguish from other beers we have drank and reviewed before. If we would describe the design, it would be a standard design for the beers from this brewery, but with a facelift. Since the facelift is a step into the right direction, we would love to see a more unique and special eye-catching design. Therefore, we give the design a 6,5. Keep evolving the design, you’re heading in the right direction! Feel free to follow @brouwerijvoorschoten and try their beers! They just started this brewery and they have some very promising beers!
